Welcome Peter.
If you're talking about marking a desired location on the map, it is very simple.
In order to determine the so-called point of interest (POI) join GPSWOX tracking system. On the top right is a button "tools" went in there you will see the choice of the POI. Click it, then you'll be able to mark on a map desired points, like your favorite shop, home and so on.

I want to map most visited objects and to calculate the distance between them, to plan routes and distances.
